The idea is to eat slowly. It is advised that you should use your nondominant hand to slow you down when you eat. Eating with others also helps you to eat slowly. This allows you to chew your food adequately so that digestion is enhanced. Remember to drink water. It is one beverage which has zero calories. Nutritionists also advise that you should use the 80% rule. This means that you should eat only 80% of the food on your plate, or reduce your usual portion by 20%.
